I see Variety is now reporting that CBS announced it's Fall Schedule during the three hours I was asleep this morning. That may explain why, when I called Audience Services at 212-975-3247 just about 10 minutes after the hour, it rang only once before it was answered. Either people have gotten the word and stopped bothering to call CBS, or they have a whole bay of telephone operators. I left a message asking for Moonlight to be renewed. You know, it can't hurt, even with the schedule announced. Plus, instead of putting the rumored The Unit in Moonlight's timeslot, CBS opted to put a new show "about relationships" in it's place--read nighttime soap--called The Ex-List. I don't know about you, but even that name doesn't sound good to me. After Ghost Whisperer? Before Numb3rs with its accursed- three- that- always- messes- me- up? I have no idea what this is. There is no imdb page, Ah, but I see Cynthia Littleton reporting on it, and there's a pic. It's a Les Moonves special project, it seems, so no wonder Moonlight didn't have a chance: I've read Moonves never believed in it. Also, I'm reading (as I post this) on the Moonlightline board that Nina Tassler, long-time advocate of Moonlight, also likes the Ex-List. Not all fan sites have updated with this latest yet, but moonlightline.com is urging members on their main page to contact WB, who actually makes the show, and let them know fans will follow the show wherever it goes. Yes, the focus right now is on finding another network to pick up the show. Moonlightline's new sister site, MoonlightMafia.com. has posted an online message urging CW to pick it up. But there is nothing final about that at all.
